Single-family offices oversee about $5.5 trillion (Citi Wealth puts it at $5.9-6.9 trillion), above the $1-1.5 trillion venture industry. Their number has grown over 75% since 2020 to more than 10,700, and 70% make direct investments, competing with PE and VC for deals.
