Petrochemical maker Gio Chiao will commit NT$1.485 billion over ten years to an electronic specialty chemicals fund managed by CDIB Capital, which will back promising specialty-materials companies. The move extends its transformation plan after an August tie-up with Japan's AWI, showing how traditional industrials are using professional VC managers to tap AI and semiconductor material supply chains.
